About Mistrie:
WE'RE SIMPLY-DIFFERENT. Perhaps it goes back to our unconventional beginnings.
The year was 1995 (merely a coincidence). We involved friends and fellow alumnae
to promote a bi-weekly event called “A Class Act”. We made tons of phone calls,
no flyers and got a great turn-out.
Eight weeks later, we cancelled the event “A Class Act”. Why? We listened to our
patrons and concerns about parking issues, car safety concerns etc. The Venue?
Was the old Estelles lounge. Seven years later and we still listen.
The next year we initiated several nightlife phenomena in the Boston area such as the
Cosmopolitan with BostonLive and The Top Kat Lounge. We proved Boston and its
surrounding areas can still be and have an interesting nightlife. We also
energized the New England Area by being one of the few non-corporate entities to
bring what may have seemed at the time, “Larger Than Life” entertainers to the
New England area. These artists included Kid Capri, Jam Master Jay[RIP], Green
Lantern, BET’s Hits on the Street Filmed LIVE, DJ Clue and much more.
With a twist of faith we landed and maintain this little but eclectic venue
called Vertigo Lounge. It was just what the doctor ordered, as our intention at
the time was to narrow our focus and reconnect with our friends and patrons.
We have not only maintained the clientele at Vertigo Saturdays, but have
improved the ambiance. Vertigo Saturdays is a typical lounge that is perfect for
those yearning for a quiet, social and fun environment. With three DJs and an
atmosphere that encourages conversation. It is now one of Boston's
favorite hangout spots.
Over the years, the ever-changing needs of our patrons, coupled with our insider
perspective on the industry, allowed us to evolve into a distinctly different
organization. We have a European style of always providing value with every invite. And by so doing,
we’ve accumulated a lot of trust with our patrons.
